“So I guess that’s just another case solved!” Vicky concluded with a wide grin that lit up her eyes in a way that Henry had never seen before.
“I guess so! It was rather disappointing really. I didn’t get to use any of my powers!”
“Well, I am sure you will find plenty of other instances to use your powers in!”
“Oh, any ideas?” Henry asked her mischievously, moving faster than she could see and ending up next to her. So closely to her face she thought she would blush.
“I meant your strength or speed, Henry!” She said already feeling uncomfortable.

She lowered her eyes despite herself. Darn it, she didn’t want him to find out he had such an effect on her. Her heart started beating faster, a fact she always attributed to too much caffeine when asked by him.

“Oh… Not my seductive powers?” he continued in the same playful tone. He raised his hand and brushed her cheek. She was so beautiful and interesting. The most fascinating creature he had seen in decades, centuries even.
