{Lucky you were born that far away so
We could both make fun of distance
Lucky that I love a foreign land for
The lucky fact of your existence
Baby I would climb the Andes solely
To count the freckles on your body
Never could imagine there were only
Ten million ways to love somebody

She was almost asleep, soothed and lulled by his voice. Her face was buried in the pillows, and Gabriel was lying on top of her, caressing her back.
He playfully teased her earlobe with his mouth and then went on to kiss her neck, his lips just barely touching her skin.
All she could mutter was: Mmhhhmmmm” as he leaned on her more, so much that she could sense his heartbeat vibrating her body as well, matching her own heartbeat.

Then suddenly he sat up, leaning a little to the left to look closer.
“Did you know you had freckles on your upper back?” his voice sounded.
“Whaaaa-aat?” she said as she tried to lift her head from the pillows and turn over her shoulder. “I don’t have freckles, my skin is clear”.

Gabriel let out a little laugh while he rubbed her shoulders, pushing her back into the pillows.
“Your skin is perfect, my love. I wasn’t trying to make you feel bad. I think it’s adorable. Just another small thing that makes you unique and special”.

She purred like a cat underneath his touch and sighed.
“I thought freckles were just imperfections of the skin, but if you put it that way, I am glad I have them”… she said trying to find his hand with her left hand under the sheets.

Her hand was searching in the totally wrong place though and it made him giggle, the smile that stretched across his face was the wider he ever had.

When she got hold of his hand, she intertwined their fingers and squeezed the tiny squeeze she always gave, a sign of her affection and amusement.
“Don’t push it with the giggles though or else…” she threatened as she let a little jolt shock him where their hands united.

“Or else what, Snow White?” he teased his breath moistening the back of her neck as he slowly nuzzled all the way down to the soft curves of her shoulder blades, smiling softly to himself as he felt her shiver. She shocked him again, this time a little harder just for the fun of it.

Gabriel didn’t even flinch, his body’s resistance to injury at its peak. It was only foreplay and he knew it.

“Don’t call me Snow White… I never asked for a fairytale, Gabriel” she said, her voice cracking a bit as she remembered everything she had been through…before she met him.

{Lucky that my lips not only mumble
They spill kisses like a fountain
Lucky that my breasts are small and humble
So you don't confuse them with mountains
Lucky I have strong legs like my mother
To run for cover when I need it
And these two eyes that for no other
The day you leave will cry a river

“No, you never did” he conceded. “But that doesn’t mean that you can’t have it”
He let no emotion in his voice. He didn’t want to turn this moment into drama again. He couldn’t bear to see her cry. Not anymore. For she was his and he was hers and no part of them should ever ache again but for each other.

“But you know there actually is a curse about freckles, so you may not be entirely wrong about the fairytale bit. Every good fairytale love story needs an evil curse, you know?” her matter-of-fact voice took him aback.

“A curse?” he muttered, stunned.
“Yes. How many are there you said?” her voice was blatantly devoid of color which could only mean something serious or something totally hilarious. It bothered him that he could not yet read her completely.

“Erm, five I think, what does that mean? Is that bad?” He hesitated but curiosity got the better of him.

“Not very. You see, the first person that notices the freckles on the other’s body has to kiss the other so many times as many are the freckles. See? A tragic curse indeed.” She finished and now Gabriel was sure she was kidding. He tackled her when she tried to turn around and kept her pinned to the bed.
“How many freckles you said there were on my back, again?”

“I was wrong the first time. I think there must be at least 30 freckles here, you just have to squint to make them out”!!

“That’s what I thought” Elle answered him smiling widely and felt the weight of his body press down on her as he started kissing her again.

{Whenever, wherever
We're meant to be together
I'll be there and you'll be near
And that's the deal my dear

Thereover, hereunder
You'll never have to wonder
We can always play by ear
But that's the deal my dear

Freckles are love! XD
